%X The aim of this work was to monitor the changes in the phenology of grassland within the Cerrado biome using vegetation index and evaluating the relationship with these data with the temperature and rainfall during 2006 to 2016. To monitor the changes in phenology of grassland vegetation, were used the vegetation index Enhanced Vegetation Index and Normalized Difference Vegetation Index from product MOD13 EOS-MODIS. We used images of rainfall the Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission and Land Surface Temperature the product MOD11A2. From spectral reflectance, rainfall and temperature were analyzed through correlation analysis using a spreadsheet software which examined the relations between the spectral reflectance of the vegetation and the meteorological data. The correlation analysis between precipitation and the spectral indexes returned significant coefficients. For the EVI related to rainfall of thirty days prior was found a r = 0.88 and r = 0.78 when mapped to the NDVI. About to the temperature were found coefficients of r =-0.89 for the EVI and r =-0.85 for the NDVI for 30 days before. The results show that is possible monitor the beggining of growth season of the grassland of Cerrado biome using the spectral vegetation index, and that this period is related to rainfall.
